It is with enormous pride that we can announce that the Scottish Karate Governing Body’s Performance Team have selected a number of the SAKAI Association members to compete at the British Karate Federations Grand Slam Event on Sunday 22nd January in Penrith, England.

- Daisy Hutchison – Female Cadet Kumite +54Kgs
- Sophie Hocking – Female Cadet Kumite +54Kgs
- Eve Watt – Female Cadet Kumite +54Kgs
- Scott Collins – Male Cadet Kumite -52Kgs
- Liam Collins – Male Junior Kumite – 55Kgs
- Lewis Bryson – Male Junior Kumite -68Kgs
- Lewis Sloan – Male Junior Kata
But being selected by the Scottish Karate Governing Body’s Performance Team is just the first step in a long journey which will hopefully see these young athletes represent Scotland at an elite level for years and years to come.
But for now, your families, your clubs, your association and all of your friends and coaching staff at SAKAI/SKE look forward to seeing you realise your potential as an internationalist and we can’t wait to see you all step onto the tatami at the BKF Grand Slam on Sunday 22nd January 2023.
