On Sunday 24th September our small squad travelled to Motherwell to participate in the second of this year’s Karate Scotland International Grand Prix.
With over 550 fellow athletes the SAKAI Association Squad battled through their category to secure:
- 3 X Gold medals
- 5 X Silver medals
- 9 X Bronze medals
Our young squad secured valuable tatami time as well as the following podium spot after having a tough day at the office:
- Individual Gold – Xander Dunn | Lewis Bryson | Lucas Bone
- Individual Silver – Lewis Bryson | Eve Watt | Caitlin Dunn | Nicole Anderjeva | Scott Collins
- Individual Bronze – Lewis Sloan | Alana Burlaka | Frankie Coulter | Ethan Anderson | Olly Bryson | Jenna Morrison | Ivy Anderson | Eve Watt | Aaron Morrow
For our squad members who on this occasion did not make it onto the podium, lessons have been learned and opportunities to improve will be actioned.
We are proud of each and every one of you.
Last but not least we wanted to give a great big shoutout to Xander Dunn for the performance of the today at the championship, keep up the good work young man!
