Our coaching staff are highly trained in martial arts and have the ability to effectively communicate their knowledge and expertise to all students. All of our Senior Coaches are former internationalists themselves and have coached students to win at local, national and international level.

The Sakai Karate Association’s Chief Instructor is Sensei David Coulter MBE, 8th Dan. Sensei Coulter is one of the Senior Coach’s for the Scottish Karate Governing Bodies National Team. Our Assistant Chief Instructor is Mr Kris Coulter, 6th Dan. Kris is also one of the Scottish Karate Governing Bodies National Team Coach’s and Richard Mallinson, 5th Dan is the Youth Development Director for SPORT KARATE EAST in Dundee and Angus.
